Senior Data Mining Consultant - Wellpoint (Manchester, NH)Description Design, develop, implement, test, maintain, and administer very complex and varied strategic report applications from Data Warehouse and Database Application. Develop DSS and OLAP applications. Establish and communicate common goal and direction for team. Establish and maintain advanced knowledge of data warehouse database, data definitions, system capabilities, SQL, SAS, and GQL and data integrity issues. Acts as a source of direction, training, and guidance for less experienced staff regarding application of VB, JCL, and Business Objects to complete project requirements. Monitor project schedules and costs for own and other projects. Develop and support very complex Data Warehouse-related applications for business areas requiring design, implementation and security of database tables using UNIX, Oracle and Informatica. Conduct training on use of applications developed. Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems and 6 yrs of data mining / data warehousing experience including each of the following: Development of DSS and OLAP applications; and Team leadership experience on large data conversion projects. 4 years of stated experience must include: use of SQL and hands on experience with UNIX, Oracle, Teradata, and Infomatica.
