Business Analyst, SAS/Access - Ameriprise (Minneapolis, MN)
This position is based in Minneapolis, MN. Relocation is not being offered.
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for business analysis, report development and database development functions in support of the Financial Planning organization.
- Database and data manipulation of large datasets
- Utilize advanced analytical skills
- Gather and interpret complex reporting requirements
- Deliver reports that meet business partner specifications
- Create, modify and maintain reports (Excel, Access, SAS)
- Improve operational efficiency of existing Access databases, reports and infrastructure
- Handle complex system and system related problems for the business
- Partner closely with cross company analytics and finance teams
- Coordinate/manage business partner development related responsibilities
- Lead projects as required
- Establish and maintain strong relationships across all areas of the organization
- Actively manage work requests while setting expectations with requestors
- Develop and provide subject matter expertise on financial advice data and reports generated
- Lead and execute complex analytical and reporting projects
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree preferably in finance, economics, computer science, MIS, or related area.
- Strong SAS skills in both data manipulation and SAS/STAT
- Advanced Access, and Excel skills
- Ability to multi-task and independently manage projects
- Driving results in an environment of changing priorities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Financial services or operations background preferred
- Mainframe and Distributed Systems knowledge preferred
