Senior Data Mining Analyst (Pendeford, UK)

The Data Mining team is looking for a senior Data Mining Analyst. The ideal candidate will be creative, sociable, work well both independently and in a team and love working within a chaotic environment. A large proportion of time will need to be spent trying to get data correct to build fantastic models. Skills in both written and oral communication and the ability to project manage, build models, understand statistics and analyse data are all essential for this role. Being a little bit mad is also an advantage!!

We are searching a candidate with a sound academic background (preferably PhD) that has applied predictive modelling extensively. A familiarity with SAS and tools such as Enterprise Guide and Enterprise Miner is vital to this role and working experience with survival analysis and Scorecards is also a plus.

The Data Mining team in Pendeford has an explorative task to fulfil. It is important that you value that part of the work of Data Mining. Candidates with an understanding of tools like SAS insight, JMP, GGOBI or Spotfire will be at an advantage.

We are looking for someone who already has experience in banking or has a real desire to take on a career within a large banking community like HBOS.
