Business Analyst Data Mining, contract (Columbus, OH)


Dedicated Technologies, Inc. is an IT consulting firm based in Columbus, Ohio. Our continued growth has led to several openings for Business Analysts to work for our clients in the Central Ohio area.

All qualified candidates must be willing and readily able to relocate to Columbus, Ohio.

Required Skills:

  • BS or BA degree in computer science, business administration or related work experience;
  • Business Analysis experience in applications development for complete life cycle projects that include n-Tier development;
  • Business Analysis experience with metrics background and financial costing;
  • Knowledge of writing small amounts of code;
  • In depth Knowledge of on-line Marketing concepts;
  • Data Mining and Crystal Reports writing experience;
  • Experience in Business Objects for value added incident tracking;
  • Strong complete project lifecycle experience (5-7 years);
  • Experience in using the Rational Unified Process (RUP);
  • Experience with Unified Modeling Language (UML);
  • Experience with developing and designing applications;
  • Network/enterprise/infrastructure background (7-9 years); AND/OR software development experience
  • Quality assurance testing (writing test plans and scripts);
  • Understanding concepts of structured systems analysis and design techniques;
  • Excellent technical writing and documentation skills;
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers and suppliers;

Dedicated Technologies, Inc. (DTI) requires that selected candidates complete and send in required paperwork. Completion of this paperwork is a condition of employment with DTI. Job Description:

  • Selected candidates must execute all aspects of a diverse, very complex information technology project or multiple large-scale IT projects, including project planning, execution, timing, functionality, quality, communication and cost.
  • Demonstrates visioning and expertise with regard to the project lifecycle and the systems development lifecycle. Undertakes the most complex, information technology projects from the original concept through the final implementation as well as ensures that the projects are aligned with the customer**s standards and IT strategies. Takes Financial Costing Models and review data from the tables and analysis data. Creates an incident data model and be able to pull a subset of data to analysis. Develops Proof of concept to help data mining.
  • Develops a formula which can provide what the cost is per incident.

Candidates should have knowledge of on-line marketing and financial investment principals. Ten years of work experience. Five years of proven project leadership expertise on large size and very complex projects including PLC/SDLC processes, facilitation, negotiation, delegation, mentoring, etc. is preferred. All of our Business Analysts must work closely with our client's customer, QA, and development teams.
