Our client, an established Financial Services Company seeks a Data Analyst to work in Boston, MA

Data Analyst for the Customer Warehouse Environment (CWE) and the Company Warehouse. Primary responsibilities include clarifying business requirements and defining data requirements and designs in support of Client initiatives. Answering business and data questions, maintaining website documentation, providing impact and causal analysis as well as production support for the warehouse and it's downstream data marts are also primary functions of this role. This person will be part of a team of data analysts and work closely with others on the team on various support and research requests. Project work will be accomplished in a matrix style approach, delivering data context to requirements, refinement, clarity as well as data design and documentation. This person is expected to become knowledgeable in the business context of the data, eventually becoming a subject matter expert in different parts of the CWE and warehouse.

QUALIFICATIONS

A minimum of 6 years experience is needed in requirements gathering, analysis and data design - preferably on decision support applications. A minimum of 3 years is needed in an environment using SDLC, process, data and software control systems. Root cause and impact analysis, triage and escalation management as well as excellent oral and written communication skills are required. The ability to multitask as well as react/respond to urgent requests is needed. Familiarity with the Financial Industry, retail, advisor or correspondent business and operational systems, Data Modeling is desired. Understanding of Retail's Marketing, Finance, and the Distribution functions. Experience with Databases, SQL, data mining, SQL tools or database reporting applications is helpful. Expertise in running JAR / JAD sessions, business interviewing and consensus building skills are a plus
