SAS Developer, Contract (Golden Valley, MN)
Responsibilities
We are seeking experienced SAS professionals with SAS programming and/or SAS Business Intelligence skills.
Application Developers/Analysts will be involved building new capabilities and enhancing existing applications to process variety of data to create critical business information.
SAS Developer’s responsibilities include: - Develop SAS code for deployment within SAS Business Intelligence (BI) platform using SAS Enterprise Guide (EG)
- Design and develop routines and tools using SAS EG to support ad hoc reports
- Implement Change Management between SAS Development, Testing and Production environments on SAS BI platform
- Provide technical support for SAS BI Users and analytic group
- Improve and develop infrastructure to automate and improve processes
- Provide mentoring to junior SAS developers and review SAS code
- Support and enhance the application through its implementation
- Analyze data to help assess business value
- Communicate with a variety of product teams
The manager is looking for someone who has experience as a BA, Data Architect, and SAS programming.- SAS Macro
- ETL Developer
- SAS BI platform
- Solid, 5+ years SAS Base Programming experience
- SAS 9 Business Intelligence experience is highly desirable
- Extensive experience in using SAS Macro language and large transactional databases is required; SQL programming is also essential
- Familiarity with SAS Management Console to Administer Intelligence Platform is desired
- Experience using SAS Enterprise Guide in developing SAS code
- UNIX and Oracle experience is preferred, with Sybase and UDB proficiency helpful.
- Previous experience in Healthcare would also be helpful in this role.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology field is required.
