Statistician, Contract - Abott (Witney, UK)

Abbott Diabetes Care provides innovative blood glucose monitoring systems for people with diabetes and is part of Abbott Laboratories, one of the world’s largest healthcare companies. The Statistics Group within Research & Development is looking to recruit a Statistician for a 1 year contract to join our team at our manufacturing site in Witney, Oxfordshire.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing statistical support in the development and improvement of products from conception to production. We are looking for an individual with a keen interest in data and who is excited by the chance to make a difference.

You should hold either an MSc in Mathematics or Statistics or a BSc in Mathematics or Statistics. Experience of regression methods, design of experiments and SAS programming skills would be an advantage although training will be provided. You will have good oral and written communication skills to be able to prepare reports and interpret results. You must be organised and flexible in your approach to work, with good attention to detail in order to ensure that data and analyses are accurate and meet the requirements of the project.
