Senior Analytics/Statistics (San Mateo, CA)
Responsibilities: - Applying statistical methods to answer business and engineering questions
- Designing and conducting statistical experiments to maximize site performance and manage risk
- Extracting and transforming data from existing data stores and performing ad-hoc statistical analyses
Qualifications: - MS or PhD in Statistics or Operations Research
- Excellent understanding of statistical methods:
- Experimental design
- Analysis of variance / Regression
- Logistic regression
- Non-parametric statistics
- Time-series analysis
- Solid data management skills: SAS, SQL and Excel
- Strong problem solving and conceptual thinking abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects while working independently and in teams
Preferred: - Familiarity with relational databases
- Familiarity with database design principles and data flow processing
