Associate Director of Analytics (New York, NY)


Ad Agency Job Description
  • Manage group of senior and junior analysts providing business performance analysis for key clients including customer targeting, segmentation and other statistical analysis, website, online advertising, marketing media campaigns and e-commerce activity analysis.
  • Responsible for managing statistical modeling, segmentation, value analysis
  • Responsible for performing analysis of quantitative research data
  • Conduct campaign data analysis (test plans, creative performance, media performance, etc)
  • Responsible for collecting and manipulating interactive media vendor data and overlaying data (adserving, Comscore, etc)
  • Manage the collection and synthesizing of data for clients from multiple client sources. Develop data strategies (e.g. what we should capture, how we should capture it, and the triggers/decisioning as a result, etc.)
  • Work with internal and external resources to develop client analysis tools and services such as segmentation, modeling, dashboard development, decision aids and business case analysis to support programs, creative and recommended solutions
  • Assist in building out R/GA’s client services in the area of requirements development, operational management, customer database analytics and CRM program development
  • Understand client’s business requirements, design and develop reporting and analysis approaches tailored to their needs
  • Stay current with client and industry developments and benchmarks
  • Work closely with R/GA team in making specific and actionable client recommendations
  • Foster relationships with Account, Production, Interactive Design, Creative and Technology teams
  • Contribute to innovation for R/GA and helping to establish R/GA in the marketplace as being “accomplished” and cutting-edge in the area of data and analytics

Required Experience:
  • Strong analytical skills, must be proficient in analyzing and interpreting data from standard software packages and client databases
  • Experience with CRM consulting
  • Experience with web analytics platforms such as WebTrends, Omniture, Coremetrics, Hitbox, Visual Sciences and email marketing tools such as @once, Echomail, Cheetahmail
  • Experience with various ad-serving technologies including: DoubleClick DART or Atlas DMT
  • Expert user of Excel and SAS
  • Solid understanding of the fundamentals of digital advertising
  • Role requires the ability to write clear and concise PowerPoint presentations for client summarizing data insights, outcomes and implications in straight-forward and enlightening way for clients
  • 5+ years experience in a related role, such as database marketing, relationship marketing or statistical consulting
  • Agency background in interactive analysis preferred and/or direct marketing experienced ideal
  • Minimum Bachelors' Degree required, preferably in business, marketing, or quantitative sciences; MBA a plus

Candidate must be willing and physically able to travel for business as needed.
