Web Statistics Analyst (New York, NY)

To support our rapid growth, we are looking for a resourceful and tech-savvy Web Statistics Analyst to join our team. The Analyst will report to our Sr. Manager of Analytics and will be responsible for reporting and analyzing all web statistics associated with Meetup and will oversee the collection, distribution, and analysis of critical performance data.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Distribute web statistics reports to stakeholders in a reliable and timely manner with insightful analysis of website and marketing data.
  • Participate in meetings with Product Development managers as an analytical lead to contribute insights based on analysis of web stats that will lead to a better user experience
  • Partner with experience team leads to forecast and then measure affects of new initiatives
  • Contribute to the building of various profitability, retention, customer profile/ segmentation, and ROI models as appropriate.
  • Support strategic research initiatives including (customer research, usage analysis, etc.).
  • Provide ongoing reporting and analysis to inform and support business decisions, in ways such as: supporting data collection and presentation creation; understanding the key drivers and audiences; establishing key performance metrics against which the business and sub-teams can measure themselves; disseminating qualitative weekly business summaries.
  • Ensure that all appropriate reporting deliverables are completed to deadline.
  • Maintain and enhance the Reporting Infrastructure through: page tagging; ensuring that reporting is an integral part of the product development lifecycle; empowering marketing and experience managers to use analysis tools through training; report automation; data cleansing.
  • Manage web-reporting vendor relationship(s).
  • Assess alternatives and provide periodic recommendations for web-analytics tools.
  • Partner with stakeholders to create reporting requirements and functional specifications and define final scope of the reporting deliverables for specific projects.
  • Periodically extract data from Meetup databases to support business and experience initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelors’ Degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering).
  • Four plus years’ professional experience in direct marketing with a minimum of two years in web/e-business analytics and reporting.
  • In-depth knowledge of internet business models and processes and interactive/ cross-channel marketing concepts and strategies.
  • Extensive expertise with Omniture.
  • Proficiency in emerging technologies and experience with modeling tools is desired (SAS, etc.).
  • Deep knowledge of relational database and data warehouse technologies including SQL, Quest, query tools, and basic database design concepts.
  • Demonstrated quantitative, analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills.
  • Superior attention to detail and oral and written communication skills.
