SALARY: $55,000 - $70,000

SUMMARY: The Informatics Analyst is responsible for working directly with clients and data vendors to program and analyze healthcare data to support product processing. Position also supports client projects that require data analysis and or special programming outside of the product on an as-needed basis. This position is critical to serving our clients' healthcare reporting needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- 2+ yrs exp in medical claims, pharmacy, or eligibility data or systems
- 1+ yr experience in SAS programming
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team
- Strong analytical and problem resolution skills
- Ability to set and achieve goals and meet deadlines
- Ability to multitask effectively and efficiently
- Strong oral and written skills.
POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Interface with IT staff and data vendors to define required data formats and layouts
- Work with internal Account Managers and directly with clients to determine reporting needs, address data quality issues, support data reconciliation
- Perform any client specific programming and analysis needed outside of the product
- Build translation programs to convert external data vendor datasets into standard formats according to conversion standards using Informatica and SAS
- Perform validation of initial data received for a new data vendor
- Comply with all established standards and operating procedures
- Investigate data validation and quality issues
- Implement improvements to the data processing system
- Perform system administration tasks as required
- Become proficient in the use of the product to support data analysis and validation.
