SAS Demand Planning Analyst $70-$95k (Chicago, IL)$70k-$100k for Supply Chain Analytics Firm - western burb - Chicago. Must be US Citizen, PR, Green Card or TN Visa Holder The Demand Planning Analyst for the Methods & Standards team is responsible for business process design, technical process design and the development of related software tools used to produce forecasts of consumer demand for supply chain. Specific responsibilities include: Business Process and Technical Development - performing in depth statistical analysis, researching demand/planning business process strategies, working with other Demand Planning Analysts to understand the requirements for forecasting tools, writing business process functional and technical design documents, writing SAS code for production forecasting systems, and working with the IT team on issues related to non-SAS development, system deployment and maintenance of forecasting systems. Specific responsibilities also include: Producing Forecasts - use all available information and statistical models to produce high-quality forecasts and analyses, use a standardized process for supply plan recommendations to include the following: overall production quantity, contingency production, case pack quantities and liquidation strategies, perform detailed post-analysis of forecast error and planning assumptions and incorporate learning from these analyses to appropriate processes. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in operations research, statistics, economics, applied mathematics or a quantitative social science; Master's degree preferred. Must have strong SAS programming skills that includes model development. Strong skills needed in analytical problem solving, teamwork and team participation, applying technical skills in a business environment, and attention to detail. Experience developing software for complex production environments, creating functional and technical business requirement documents and supply chain management experience are all desired.
