Marketing Analyst - Mal Warwick Associates (Berkeley, CA)
Mal Warwick Associates, one of the nation’s premier fundraising consulting agencies working with charitable organizations and progressive political candidates, is looking for a Marketing Analyst to join our team in Berkeley, California. The Marketing Analyst will be responsible for taking analytical projects from inception to completion. The primary customers for this position are our client-facing consulting team members. The Marketing Analyst, as a member of the client consulting team, will play a central role in creating and presenting on-time client reports. The Marketing Analyst will also play an integral role in completing analyses and projects that will help grow our client base, increase profits, drive marketing effort insights and deliver high levels of client satisfaction. The ideal candidate should be a results-oriented marketing professional who has advanced analytical skills, creative problem solving skills and strong project management skills. A strong candidate will also have extensive understanding of direct marketing and the ability to process and translate large amounts of data into actionable insights and recommendations. Additional Qualifications: - Five or more years work experience, preferably in a direct marketing analyst role
- BA required, advanced degree in business, mathematics or statistics desirable
- Experience in creating original customer segments and models for marketing application
- Expert in statistical analysis and with data mining tools
- Exceptional analytic skills as well as a strong interest in all aspects of direct marketing from creative development through post campaign analysis
- Strong PC skills and proficiency with a variety of software applications, including SQL, Excel, Power Point and Word
- The ability to focus on projects to their successful completion
- Ability to articulate analytical results (both written and verbal) in an easily understood manner, leading to actionable business recommendations
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
- Ability to effectively partner with other internal business units and clients
