How Big Can You Think?

With a strong sense of understanding the "business" of marketing, the Sr. Target Marketing Manager will have responsibility for building and maintaining targeting strategies in support of marketing plans for various supported business units. Lifecycle management of targeting practice to include up-front consulting based on best practices, technical execution of targeting profiles and performance analysis.

The perfect candidate will possess strong data-mining capabilities, demonstrated ability to interpret marketing campaign objectives and produce the most effective and appropriate targeting criteria.

Responsibilities include:

  • Using database marketing techniques develop and maintain effective targeting profiles in support of marketing campaigns.
  • Develop and test segmentation and targeting concepts to improve campaign performance.
  • Conduct analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of campaign media and targeting tactics and make recommendations to optimize campaign performance.
  • Collaborate with internal systems analysts and developers to develop, test, and apply leading-edge modeling techniques in order to achieve business objectives.
  • Work with internal systems/product teams to automate proven targeting methods and make recommendations for scalable targeting tools, processes..

Minimum Job Qualifications:
  • Excellent statistical and technical proficiency. 6-8 years experience implementing targeting techniques to aid marketing campaign execution.
  • Excellent business acumen and demonstrated ability to translate business objectives into tactical plans that achieve measure-able improvements in campaign results.
  • Conduct necessary analysis to evaluate/size target audience, targeting profile performance which results in recommendations to optimize performance.
  • Produce analytic reports that outline customer behavior, targeting statistics and trends.
  • BS or MS degree with quantitative focus, such as statistics, math, computer science, economics or operational research. MBA preferred.
  • Strong experience in extracting, cleansing and validating large datasets in the UNIX environment.
  • Experience with SAS, SQL, Perl
  • Experienced with MicroStrategy reporting, being able to pull reports out of the system and debug if necessary
  • Must be detail and deadline oriented and be able to "multitask" and meet concurrent, rigorous deadlines under fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of online, database marketing techniques and practices.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional team synergy skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
