Manager, Marketing Analytics (Boston, MA)

Description: The manager of marketinganalyticsis to play the role of project leader aligned with an account director to lead the team efforts for the analytic centric account(s) on behalf of Marketing Intelligence department and to serve as the leading delivery resource for the account(s). The manager must be a subject matter expert in at least one expertise area of the database marketing intelligence value chain and contribute to the company intelligence asset. The fundamental qualifications include solid understanding of database marketing lifecycle, experience in database marketinganalyticsin a consulting environment, team orientation, problem-solving orientation, and excellence in project management, client communication and presentation. Ability to perform customer segmentation, promotion execution and measurement, product affinity analysis, predictive modeling, and other sophisticated data mining. Experience in onlineanalyticsis strongly desired as we continue to grow in that arena.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a Subject Matter Expert in multi-channel marketing program evaluation and optimization, and contribute to the company intelligence asset.
  • Configurewebsiteanalyticstools to optimize data collection and enable relevant reports and analyses.
  • Perform advanced multi-channel data mining and provide key data driven insights to influence strategy decisions.
  • Lead delivery efforts of analytic centric account across marketing intelligence value chain as a project leader.
  • Participate in client communications including development of analytic plan and presentation of analytic findings and recommendations.
  • Serve as a technical consultant to clients as well as internal project teams.

Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum of five years of quantitative analytic experience in direct marketing, e-marketing, or related field.
  • Experience in analyzingwebdata (online traffic, click stream data, site landing optimization, etc.) and working on large volume of transactional data.
  • Ability to structure analytic reports and analyses and make them reusable for similar business circumstances.
  • Experience withwebanalyticstools such as: SASWebAnalytics, Omniture, Epiphany, WebSideStory, Urchin, WebTrends, CoreMetrics, GoogleAnalytics, ClickTracks, FireClick, etc.
  • Excellent understanding of relational databases, data warehousing,website technology and protocols.
  • Strong skills in project management, writing, communication and presentations.
  • Expertise in applied statistical techniques and SAS programming is a plus.

Education: Advanced degree in computer science, mathematics, economics, statistics, or other quantitative field.
