Group Overview:
Cross Enterprise Strategy is an in-house strategy group. It is one of the main intake valves for top-tier talent at Schwab and provides members with an unparalleled opportunity to work on the major strategic and operational issues confronting the business and with visibility among the Firm's senior leadership. The group's focus is on driving resolution of critical questions of business strategy that cut across more than one revenue Enterprise. Upcoming activities include pricing strategy and articulation of a retirement strategy
Description: - Drive resolution of critical strategic and operating issues that are firm-wide in nature; this will involve: Consulting with internal clients to define, manage and deliver business strategy projects that support senior management and business area decision making. Coordinating internal resources, managing external vendors, preparing and delivering final reports/presentations. Preparing management reports and presentations to facilitate decision making. Managing multiple projects and clients with a focus on providing actionable intelligence for business decision makers.
- Work on cross-functional project teams to evaluate and provide insight into existing and new markets, products, services, structures, and technologies.
- Provide input, guidance and direction to the budgetary, strategic and operational planning processes.
- Work directly and effectively with other business units' leaders to ensure enterprise wide business integration, and coordination
- As appropriate, participate in committees and task forces as designated by EVP, SS.
Qualifications:- A minimum of 10 years experience in a financial services research, strategy, marketing or competitive intelligence function or at a consulting firm focused business strategy.
- Extensive experience with the development and implementation of projects involving multiple and complex data sets.
- Demonstrated ability to build and execute strategic plans across a geographically dispersed organization.
- Track record of strong leadership and influencing skills. Possessing strong emotional intelligence/maturity.
- Experience operating in a complex, matrix management environment.
- An undergraduate degree is required; an MBA is preferred. NASD Series 7/63 securities licenses preferred.
