SAS Developer (IL)

Our group, Marketing Information R&D, is focused on custom tailored solutions to complex business issues spanning several vnu companies. Using sophisticated modeling capabilities, analytical specialists assess the impact of strategic and tactical business decisions to give our customers a competitive advantage. Typical assignments range from marketing mix modeling to category management, including topics as diverse as pricing strategy, consumer-driven market structure, variety management and promotion tactics.

As a consultant for the Marketing Information R&D group, you will be involved in the pre and post processing a variety of data sources for reporting and analytical end applications. You will also be responsible for identifying and removing processing ineffiecencies as well as extending the current capabilities of existing procedures.

We are currently looking for an experience SAS developer with the following skills:

Technical:

• 5+ years SAS: Heavy base SAS including proc SQL, Data step programming and Macro SAS.
• Should be familiar with both Windows and UNIX SAS environments.
• Experience working any of the following databases is strongly desired: DB2, Informix, Redbrick, Oracle,
• Sybase, MySQL or SQL Server.
• Experience with database design and experience working with large databases is very desireable.

• Ability to work independently under minimal guidance.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to take minimal requirements and successfully completing a project by
• recommending options, solidifying requirements and implementing the application.
• Ability to work on multiples projects without day-to-day guidance.
