SAS Data Analyst, 8 weeks (Seattle, WA)
Requirements- Minimum of 3 years of relevant SAS/database experience.
- SAS programming skills are required (e.g. macro and database connectivity)
- Experience with SQL, preferably Oracle on Unix or PC Platforms or SQL Server is desired
- Working knowledge of the SAS 9 environment (either SAS metdata Server, Management Console, SAS Stored Processes, SAS Connectivity to clients and databases)
- Sound business judgment and decision making ability.
- Experience in developing strategies for data management and data quality and practical experience in data management.
- Significant experience in analyzing user requirements.
- Sound knowledge of logical and physical data modeling as well as data warehouse architecture, including best practices in a large corporate setting.
- Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other standard business packages.
- Programming experience in one or more of C, C++, Java or Visual Basic is desired
Job Description: Two openings for data analysts w/ programming skills for the Enterprise Credit group; will perform data model validation for the programmer/analysts; ideal candidates will have math/quantitative background in the finance industry (credit risk). - Provide ongoing data analysis, data manipulation, data clean-up and data reporting support. Contribute to data-quality improvement and reconciliation efforts. Merge and compile large volumes of data and initiate reporting functions from a variety of locations. Ability to update and clean data both manually and through automated processes.
- Familiar with SQL, MS Excel and MS Access. Manipulate/change the data. Export data from one file to another and create reports. Proficient with standard query methods for obtaining data from SQL databases. Must have strong communication and documentation skills.
