Analytic Software Lead Scientist - Fair Isaac (Emeryville, CA)

We currently have an opening for and Analytic Software, Lead Scientist located in our Emeryville Office. In this role the incumbent will design and develop software components and applications in the domains of machine learning, data-mining and information visualization. The job requires strong software design, algorithm and programming skills with a goal to develop robust, fast, best-of-breed software. There will be an unvarying emphasis on producing software that not only accomplishes the desired goal but does so with elegance.

Minimum Requirements:

• MS degree in a field such as computer science, graph theory, machine learning, AI, statistics, or data mining
• 3+ years of solid industry experience in software development using Java / C++. Knowledge of GUI frameworks, unit testing frameworks, performance tuning and optimization will be a plus.
• Strong background in Data-Structures, Algorithm, Object Oriented Design Principles and Design Patterns.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Team oriented attitude, as well as the ability to work independently with minimum direction

• Phd in Computer Science, graph theory, machine learning, AI, statistics, or data mining.
• Experience with commercial business rule management systems a plus.
