Software Engineer, Video Content Analysis - Mountain View. This position is based in Mountain View, CA.

The role: Software Engineer, Video Content Analysis - Mountain View

Are you a computer vision and video analysis expert? Are you infatuated with machine learning? Are you experienced with genre understanding, scene understanding, structure from motion, optical flow, object detection, video super-resolution or related topics?

Are you interested in solving big, important problems related to video search and browsing? For example, would you like to build the largest semantic video index using one of the largest distributed systems in the world? Or would you like to develop general scene understanding methods?

Many projects in the Video Content Analysis group are focused on these big problems. We need your help in solving them as well as a range of other fascinating Computer Vision and Machine Learning problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

• PhD in Computer Science preferred
• Strong background in Machine Learning and Computer Vision required
• Extensive experience programming in C/C++
• Successful and proven track record on at least a few Computer Vision and/or Machine learning related projects
• Substantial experience with several of the topics mentioned above, including but not limited scene understanding, pattern recognition, structure from motion or shading, video compression and processing, temporal event detection, etc.
