Paid Search Analyst (Watertown, MA)

Compensation: $65K-$80K/an based on qualifications and experience

The company operates in many countries across Americas, Europe and Asia, with 56 agencies offering paid search marketing and optimization services. Isobar Technology Group leads innovation, development, and provides hosting and support services for several marketing automation tools that give internal clients within Isobar network a basis for their competitive service offerings.

iSEBA is iProspect’s Search Engine Bidding Agent technology that provides global optimization and management of keyword bids on the online paid placement auction programs offered by major search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN.

We are currently seeking highly motivated individuals for a paid search business analyst position with experience in online marketing, and a proven track record of providing business analysis in one of related areas. As a key member of Isobar team, person in this role will be responsible for providing analytical support for our client marketing campaign accounts, as well as educate clients when necessary about instrumental optimization methods applicable to managing their marketing campaigns.

Candidates must demonstrate a solid understanding of required day to day client management tasks and concepts such as:

  • Effective client communication
  • Dynamics of managing and measuring marketing campaigns
  • Financial principles such as ROI, profit, and others

Successful candidate must also possess strong analytical and time management skills, have ability to work in a dynamic cooperative team environment, demonstrate initiative and self-motivation, and be able to communicate effectively with other team members. Familiarity with data analysis and statistical techniques as well as experience applying and interpreting statistical inference methodologies, decision trees, and other traditional data mining techniques is highly preferred. The candidate will be required to apply such techniques to address high stakes business problems.

Functions:

  • Communication with multiple iSEBA clients over email and phone
  • Monitoring the progress of campaigns on the bid management tool
  • Facilitation of conference calls and meetings with clients, and coordination of team participation
  • Management of client feedback and service requests in issue tracking database
  • Planning of client campaign deployments on iSEBA in accordance with established process
  • Promote best practices for utilizing iSEBA technology to accomplish client objectives
  • Provide analytical support to a growing number of client accounts using statistical tools

Position Requirements:
  • BS/BA in marketing, advertising or data mining / statistical fields
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing, finance, statistics or client management
  • Ability to give level-of-effort estimates, set milestones and work within deadlines
  • Ability to drive to consensus among client stakeholders and team members
  • Ability to work independently while cooperating with the rest of the team
  • Ability to focus on priorities, and exhibit enthusiasm for providing high-quality service
  • Operate well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Quick learner able to take ownership of client accounts
  • Experience managing paid media campaigns in Yahoo or Google AdWords is a plus
  • Experience with international business is preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience applying data mining / statistical techniques to real world business problems, and applying quantitative analysis in a business environment are a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and other working knowledge of MS Word, Power Point and other office tools
  • Knowledge of MatLab and SQL Server 2005 are a big plus
