Campaign Database Market Analyst (Chicago, IL)
The Jewish United Fund/Federation of Metropolitan Chicago is looking for an experienced Campaign Database Market Analyst, in coordination with the Campaign, Communications and ISS departments, is responsible for strategizing on database marketing, database management, market segmentation, and supporting new gifts and retention of donors, with a special focus on e-philanthropy efforts in order to strengthen JUF’s online relationship with donors. Specifically, the analyst will lead the efforts to mine data from JUF’s custom-built database; analyze donor trends; push for the acquisition of e-mail addresses; and be part of an inter-departmental team that strategizes and crafts electronic outreach initiatives, including e-mail marketing as well as contributing to Campaign's content on the JUF Web site. In addition, as part of additional campaign responsibilities, the analyst will support the work of Campaign Operations, including open mailbox administration, new gift and retention efforts, direct marketing, and related outreach campaign initiatives aimed at growing the donor base.
REQUIREMENTS: The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; 3-5 years experience in working in direct marketing, preferably in the area of online and e-mail marketing and/or advanced degree in the field; experience in database mining, management and marketing, and utilizing customer data to develop, execute and measure results of database marketing campaigns; strong analytical skills and ability to quickly learn a new database system; must be able to work well in a team environment; excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills; self-starter that can handle multiple projects; and possess an interest in working in the Jewish community.
