A client of Falkor Group seeks a Marketing Research Analyst to fulfill the following:

PURPOSE

Reporting to the Vice President of Development, the Marketing Research Analyst performs data analysis on various direct marketing, fundraising, business and financial initiatives within the development department and periodically for the client's business enterprises. This includes conducting primary and secondary research of marketing programs and the development of the appropriate qualitative and quantitative reporting methodologies to support findings and recommendations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Using various research and analytical tools and methodologies, the marketing research analyst will extract and format data, perform analysis, and summarize results for a variety of marketing, financial and business performance metrics.
  • Establishes research methodology and designs formats for data gathering (surveys, primary/secondary sources) and for data reporting (reports, graphs, executive summaries).
  • Track, monitor and report on all metrics as required by the Vice President of Development and key managers within the Development Department including direct response, marketing and communications, major and planned gifts, and church relations.
  • Examines and analyzes statistical data to forecast future marketing trends. Collects data on constituent preferences and giving habits; prepares reports, summaries and graphic illustrations of findings. Develop and maintain various models to investigate patterns, interpret findings, and predict/forecast results.
  • Research, monitor and develop concise reporting of quantitative benchmarks, including performance results and P/L, ROI, LTV analysis, for all direct response channels including direct mail, DRTV, internet, telemarketing, and special events among others.
  • Conduct various data mining projects to investigate anomalies and research underlying causal factors for all marketing efforts on a macro and micro level.
  • Design and prepare reports on both scheduled and ad-hoc basis to track and monitor performance of various elements of marketing campaigns; including executive summary dashboard reports and more complex and comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Identify, monitor and gather information on competitors marketing methods and research general market conditions or changes in the industry that may affect ongoing and future marketing efforts. Summarize and develop reporting to support findings and recommendations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Training and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree, major in Marketing, Finance or related field.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics

  • Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with statistical analysis tools and database systems.
  • Ability to extract and format data, analyze and summarize results.
  • Proficiency with the MS Office Suite including Access and advanced Excel Skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team based on project needs.
  • Ability to multi-task and work with all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving, dynamic environment.
  • Experience in the direct marketing, fundraising and/or advertising industries a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, adhering to strict timelines.
  • Detail oriented and highly organized.
  • Comfortable interacting with varying religious traditions.
  • Ability to tactfully and effectively deal with public and staff in a personable and professional manner.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Nature of work requires an ability to operate standard business office equipment. Requires ability to communicate and exchange information, collect, compile and prepare work documents, set-up and maintain work files.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work performed in a general office environment. Position requires availability for extended hours plus non-traditional hours required to perform job duties. Requires periodic participation and attendance at organization sponsored events and meetings.
