Join a highly impactful team that delivers strong strategic & analytic direction to an organization with a database of 30MM individuals and 500K B2B headquarters in the U.S.. Position works directly with the client’s database marketing team that is responsible for developing all the models and targeting for U.S. initiatives.

We are looking for a statistical modeler with a background in applied statistics, predictive modeling, data mining, and data analysis to identify profitable customer segments, optimize channels, and expand and grow our marketing opportunities. Our team is focused on customer value, team experience and the bottom line. The individual we are looking for must possess excellent collaboration skills and a results-driven orientation. We are looking for someone who can effectively consult with various marketing teams and effectively communicate findings and statistical concepts to our partners. This position at McCann Relationship Management (MRM) will be based on-site at our client Microsoft in Redmond, Washington.

The suitable candidate will be someone who possesses business acumen and insight and significant experience in multivariate statistical analysis (linear & logistic regression, categorical analysis, cluster analysis, statistical sampling, decision trees, multidimensional scaling, etc.)

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively apply and manage statistical techniques in a business setting
  • Manage development, test & deployment of predictive modeling & scoring, segmentation, targeting, data mining
  • Present findings to senior management and routinely provide status improvement reports
  • Serve as a general resource on data analysis, predictive modeling and data mining techniques. Advise management, clients, and other business partners on the effective use of analytical methodologies. Provide specific expertise in the areas of acceptable sample sizes

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 7-10 years experience in an analysis and reporting role, sales force and marketing analytics ideal
  • 2+ years of experience in direct marketing industry preferred
  • Strong communications skill a must
  • B2B and technical vertical experience ideal
  • Prefer history in fast-paced data environments
  • A strong, demonstrated background in applied statistical analysis, specifically in modeling and target marketing applications, research design and analysis
  • Willingness to roll up sleeves and do whatever is necessary to advance the organization’s capabilities.
  • Solid working proficiency in SAS, SPSS, KXEN or other well distributed statistical software and analytical tools.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and data preparation for statistical analysis
  • Ability to visually depict analytic results in PowerPoint and Word
  • Experience with client/server data mining platforms (e.g. SQL Server 2005 Analytical Services, Oracle Data Mining, SAS Enterprise Miner).

EDUCATION:

Masters degree required with a strong preference for a PhD in Statistics, Quantitative Management, Economics, etc...
