Interactive Statistician (Dallas, TX)

The Interactive Statistician provides statistical and reporting support solutions for the company. This includes designing and executing analytic projects, as well as reporting and interpreting consumer data to provide strategic recommendations for the company and its local properties. This person will be responsible for statistical modeling, ad hoc reporting, and development of datasets.

Required Experience:

• Bachelors Degree , MBA Preferred
• 3+ years experience developing analytical models in marketing, finance or advertising
• 3+ years experience with SQL, SAS, SPSS or Oracle data mining too
• Work with other analysts within the team, or across the network, as needed on larger scope projects
• Develop and deliver reporting packages for Belo Corporate and local Belo properties, consistently providing accurate and timely reporting
• Prepare SAS datasets from a large scale database
• Take on special projects as assigned
• Web Analytics experience (Omniture, WebTrends, or others)
• Ability to create and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.
• Ability to maintain positive relations with internal and external contacts.

• Oracle, MySQL, SQL, SAS, SPSS, Siebel and Microsoft suite, particularly Excel and Access
• Expert knowledge of analytical techniques including Classification Algorithms, Decision Trees, Bayesian Networks, Factor Analysis and Cluster Analysis
• Experience working with very large data sets
