Job Description: Statistical Programmer
Purpose of Job : - The SAS Programmer II is a member of the Biostatistics team and plays a lead role in performing all SAS programming required for clinical trial analysis and reporting. The SAS Programmer II must ensure that activities and processes performed are conducted according to Ingenix and sponsor requirements. This position works closely with the Biostatistics and Data Management departments on various clinical projects.
- This position requires time and resource management skills, and strong SAS programming expertise, and experience with pharmaceutical studies.
Job Components
Major Responsibilities: - Act as a representative of the Biostatistics department on project teams. Attend project team meetings as necessary.
- Perform all SAS programming required for clinical trial analysis and reporting.
- Generate tables, listings, and graphs as required.
- Assist with statistical quality assurance review and program validation for each project.
- Interact with other departments, such as Clinical Operations and Project Management, to ensure a high level of client satisfaction through successful execution of projects.
Qualifications:- B.S. degree required, M.S. degree preferred.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in SAS programming for pharmaceutical projects.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Computer proficiency is mandatory.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Possess a positive attitude and works well with others.
