Senior Biostatistician (Basel, Switzerland)

• Ensure appropriate statistical planning, analysis and reporting of one or more clinical studies, development programs or drug submission dossiers as Project Statistician
• Ensure quality of deliverables and that project milestones are met to agreed timelines and budget
• Review and anticipate resource requirements for existing projects within Biostatistics
• Act as Biometrics Team Leader represent Biometrics in the Project Teams and attend customer meetings to discuss project requirements
• Adhere to company standards, working procedures and to Health

• Support and lead continuos development and improvement of statistics and programming process
• Perform role of mentor for Biostatisticians, clinical programmers and trainees
• Set and maintain professional statistical and programming standards
• Maintain and develop a high standard of statistical methodology

The qualified candidate will ideally have:

• University degree in Statistics (PhD or MSc level) with at least 4 years of relevant experience
• In-depth knowledge and expertise in statistics and its applications to clinical trials
• Good working knowledge of statistical software packages
• Solid knowledge of drug development process and Health Authorities guidelines
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Ability to work efficiently in a team environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Management/coaching skills
• Must be able to work according to timelines and meet project deadlines
