Business Intelligence / Data Analytics (Carlsbad, CA)
This position will be responsible for managing the data integrity and accuracy of the operational databases and associated analytics of such data; interfacing directly with operations, corporate IT, data warehousing, and third party applications. Role will be responsible for conceptual design and development of necessary management and operational analysis tools for all departments. Position will manage all monthly performance metrics reporting: including any modeling, data extraction, report generation and analysis of results. Will also be directly involved in special projects management - including data migration/integrity projects, new business development opportunities, and change management initiatives necessary to drive company objectives.
Responsibilities: - Maintain a strong understanding of various relational databases, contributing regularly to strategies that enhance data analytics
- Function as primary data expert for data reporting and analytics.
- Interface with all data sources and reporting tools including SQL, Access, Excel, .NET and Crystal Reports
- Interface closely with all departmental functions. Analyze business requirements of operations and develop information specifications, modeling, and reporting to assist company in promoting operational effectiveness
- Manage the monthly development and distribution of operating key metrics reports. Assist in analyzing data trends and promoting alternative management strategies to increase efficiencies
- Provide support for field operations, including data query requests, data cleanup initiatives or any requested special projects
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies in a dynamic, fast paced environment
- Perform other duties as requested by supervisor
Qualifications - Fluent in Spanish
- Translating business questions into rigorous quantitative analysis
- Written and oral communication
- Data mining, Multivariate statistical modeling, Pattern recognition
- Modeling of complex data, Predictive modeling, Behavioral modeling
- Strategic planning, Project Management
- Competitive Data Analysis, Forecasting, Return On Investment
- Understanding of ETL techniques, data transformation, data matching
- Query, Reporting and OLAP tools, such as Business Objects / Crystal Reports. .NET, VBA and automation
