Data Analysts (San Diego, CA)

Encore Capital Group has multiple opportunities for Strategic and Data Analysts in our San Diego office. These positions are primarily responsible for assisting in the development, testing and analysis of high impact strategic/operational initiatives and proprietary data modeling tools. Additional responsibilities include the evaluation of existing strategies and processes, and creating and building new strategies to establish and improve the industry best practices.

Candidates should possess the following:
  • Bachelor's degree required Master's degree and quantitative field preferred.
  • Strong statistical backgrounds in non-business domains also will be considered.
  • 2+ years of analyzing data and profitability or effectiveness of programs (Financial services experience preferred).
  • Proficiency in SAS or (SQL) and Excel.
  • Advanced data mining skills.
  • Experience in operational analysis, budgeting and forecasting preferred.
  • Additional desired skills (but not required) include process re-engineering and project management
  • Direct experience in consumer marketing analysis preferred.
