Business Intelligence Analyst
In this exciting position you will develop analytical products, business intelligence products and perform analytical services which leverage company data and other third party property and casualty insurance data.
- Design, develop and execute analyses to meet project design.
- Perform initial and ongoing translation of client objectives into a workable research design that optimally combines the data/analytical services offered by the company.
- Provide Technical Guidance on all but the most sophisticated statistical project design and methodology issues to the client, sales, and sales support staff.
- Plan and track all projects.
- Present technical data and operational considerations which may affect results to the client.
- Provide to internal and external clients, on a consulting basis, advice regarding strategies, implementation, proper uses, and or limitations of the company’s data and analytical products and services.
- Provide support to junior level project modelers.
- Working with others in the company, provide a thorough set of technical articles, presentations, and development of contacts in the insurance industry designed to increase the awareness of the organization’s expertise in model building and other statistical applications
Required Skills- Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years experience in business analysis and Business Intelligence (BI) Tools, analyzing data sets.
- 5+ years experience with SQL including programming in SQL and running SQL queries.
- Insurance industry (property and casualty) pricing and product experience.
- Project Management skills and experience.
Preferred Skills:- MS/MBA degree.
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as MDX, Strategy Companion or InsurQuote.
- Experience with SAS programming on mainframe or UNIX and JCL.
- 5+ years of Insurance industry experience.
- Experience with Insurance Underwriting products
