Sr. Clinical SAS Programmer (Telecommute)
Position Description:
A leading provider of information technology support and services for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry in the areas of clinical research, clinical data management and biostatistics is seeking a Sr. Clinical SAS Programmer Analyst. In this role, you will serve as an independent programmer and analyst supporting the clinical reporting production programming and verification for client Regulatory Submissions (NDAs).
Critical client project activities are reporting database development, statistical and clinical reporting, verification and submissions support.
Specific responsibilities include: - Independently, perform SAS programming and analysis support of analysis datasets, listings, summaries, and tables;
- Independently, perform SAS programming and analysis support of data structures and database summaries, tables, and database applications;
- Writing SAS application code;
- Validation of SAS programs for submissions;
- Performing migrations and verifications;
- Coordinating with biostatistics the writing of analysis plans and the designing of data presentations;
- Generating all necessary output for the compilation of statistical appendices for CTR, ISS, and ISE; and
- Routine interface with a cross-function of client and company team members
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, or equivalent; master’s degree preferred but not required; 7 plus years Pharmaceutical or CRO industry experience in clinical reporting and statistical applications systems/sub-systems; Strong competence in SAS/Base, SAS/Macro, and SAS/STAT programming; Proficiency in SAS programming on multiple platforms and operating systems, e.g., Windows, NT, UNIX, VMS, etc. is desirable; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and Motivation and skills for growth into project management is desirable
