Sr. Risk Analyst (GA)

In this role, you will

• Develop and execute statistical analyses to meet business objectives and goals.
• Familiar with data-preparation aspects that precede model development.
• Experience using quantitative methods to analyze data and ensure data integrity.
• Set and meets analysis time frames and deadlines.
• Create and present results of analyses to management and/or internal stakeholders and to external clients.
• Provide written follow up on client comments and suggestions, and strives for client satisfaction with delivered reports and models
• Translate initial and ongoing/updated client objectives into a workable research design that optimally combines the data/analytical services offered by the company.
• Follow technical guidance on statistical project design and methodology issues to achieve valid and statistically defensible results.
• Plan and track all projects.
• Analyze and assess the value of internal and external data elements which support risk segmentation.
• Interface with systems and production personnel to assure timely, accurate production of datasets, programming variables, and implementation of models.
• Provide to internal and external clients, on a consulting basis, advice regarding strategies, implementation, proper uses, and or limitations of the data and/or analytical products and services.

• Insurance and/or financial services industry experience required;
• BS / MS (preferred) in Statistics, Math, Applied Math, Applied Stats, OR, Economics or Decision Sciences;
• At least 3 years of experience with hands-on data preparation, data analysis and reporting; Good written and verbal communication skills; Extensive SAS experience (BASE/STAT) on multiple platforms (PC/Unix/ Mainframe) and competencies with other analytical software packages; Knowledge of SQL a plus;
