SAS/SQL Data Analyst (San Francisco, CA)

Job Description:

We are looking for a database analyst with a background in credit industry managing customer list process; creating MIS reporting and data environments. This role will need excellent programming, automation skills as well as project and process management skills. The analytics team is responsible for understanding customer behavior, key driver analysis and the performance of our acquisition and portfolio management strategies. We report, analyze and translate data and information into actionable insights that drive profit and improve our ability to forecast financial drivers. We execute multiple direct marketing campaigns to our existing customers. This team actively partners with other product areas and functions to find ways to leverage work and data infrastructures.

Job Responsibilities:

• Primary responsibility is to maintain existing customer list production.
• Design, create and build efficient list programs to execute various customer offers.
• Manage, document and improve upon existing processes with respect to reporting and data infrastructure.
• Work closely with other groups and data management areas to build an excellent data infrastructure for our team.
• Help manage the customer marketing list management process; business requirement gathering and specification creation.

• Bachelor’s degree, credit product experience and financial services experience.
• 2-4 years of experience using SAS / SQL to build data marts and creating reports.
• Working knowledge of scripting in UNIX environment.
• Experience working with Oracle databases; PL/SQL is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple high priority projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrated business sense.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Any BI tool experience is a plus.
