Director of Database Marketing (Phoenix, AZ)
Responsibilities
Working closely with five tremendous team members you’ll be responsible for the management and oversight of all daily functions within the Database Marketing team.

- Audit Functions
Team Management and Direction - Responsible for staff development and annual success plans.
- Oversee innovation initiatives and team workflow efficiency metrics.
- Responsible for maintaining targeted profitability in revenue generating sectors of the team.

Target Areas for Innovation or In-Depth Focus - Knowledge and working experience with lists available in the market for targeting certain industries/consumer groups and ability to negotiate very low costs for these lists. This would also include how to select certain target consumers from those lists.
- The ability to develop and manage a centralized database, data hygiene expertise and data usage skills -- how to build a database for a client and then how to use the data in that database to better personalize and target products and promotions (direct mail, web, etc.) to the consumers in that database. (This is basically a limited CRM functionality.) This would also apply to building our own internal database of clients for marketing purposes.
- More robust and developed ROI programs. Ramp up managing and manipulating the data and analyzing the results from a statistical significance standpoint - ideally, this would be across multiple platforms.
- Develop proven results with data processing management/work flow efficiencies Application of more automation of our list processing, merge/purges, and other data processing projects, as well as the ROI's.
- Ability to effectively present database management capabilities and strategy directly to clients.
- Review outsource potential and opportunities for data/list processing functions to enhance efficiencies and deliver more results with less staff, at a 24/7 pace of business.
Qualifications:
Knowledge in list services, database management, and analytics acquired by completing a 4 year degree plus 5-10 years of relevant experience in a related field. Previous supervisory experience plus strong communication skills ( both written and verbal) are required. Technical skills in PC computer operations with a well-developed grasp of marketing objectives are essential. Knowledge of Microsoft Access and SQL is preferred. Relevant experience in the field of data analytics, data mining and statistical modeling is also a plus.
