We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst with energy and a desire to learn.
Your main responsibilities will include: - Taking responsibility for the statistical analysis division of the company. This will include data analysis, experiment proposal & design, etc.
- Providing the reporting/analysis to support various business objectives.
- Studying behavioral patterns of our millions of daily Internet visitors.
- Taking initiative by asking 'what if' questions and then using controlled experimental design to test theory.
- Creating testing methodologies for optimization of various aspects of our business.
- Consulting with technical staff to ensure that relevant data is collected and stored.
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience: - Skilled in relational databases and proficiency in SQL queries
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with management, customers and technical personnel
- Strong mathematical, statistical, computer, analytical and organizational skills
- Experience with reporting tools
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, demanding customer-focused environment both independently and as a team player
- Ability to organize and prioritize work and simultaneously manage multiple priorities to ensure goals are met in a timely manner
- Ability to be proactive and take initiative when identifying and resolving problems
- Experience with R/S-plus, or other statistical platform
- Post graduate degree in statistics
The following skills would be beneficial. We would be super excited if you had: - Ability to critically analyze and accurately interpret data to make strategic recommendations
- Ability to perform impact analysis of changes to the database objects
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts
- Experience with UNIX operating system
- Experience with online advertising industry
- Experience with data mining or machine learning
- Experience with meta modeling and/or semantic modeling
