Team Lead SAS Analyst/Programmer (Boulder, CO)

DUTIES:

Ascend Analytics is looking for a team lead SAS Analyst/Programmer with strong analytic and software development skills. This position will involve significant responsibility to advance, innovate, and operate a risk-based portfolio management system for energy companies. This system evaluates both physical and financial assets and options as part of a set of hierarchical portfolios. Additional responsibilities may involve application customization and deployment, client interaction, and management.

This position will work on both the base SAS program development as well as the more detailed statistical and financial model development. Most of the processes are developed using SAS’s macro language with base SAS datasteps and procedures combined with several SAS analytical (SAS/ETS, SAS/STAT) procedures.
We're looking for highly educated individuals with advanced degrees and a serious commitment to empirical modeling, financial engineering, and SAS programming. Full time commitment is preferred, but we will consider part-time. We can offer flexible work hours and locations (work from home is an option). Excellent benefits available.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have skills: SAS (base SAS, SAS macros, SAS/ETS, SAS/STAT, SAS/Access)
  • Preferred skills: VS.NET, SQL, Oracle
  • Preferred knowledge: Monte Carlo Simulations, Time Series Modeling, Derivative Instruments, and Energy Trading.
