SAS,SQL Analytics Consultant, Contract (San Jose, CA)

• Ability to quickly understand business requirements and map these requirement to data sources available. This requires demonstrated technical skills in STATISTICS, SQL, SAS (UNIX), SAS MACROS, and Excel PIVOT TABLES/CHARTS. Interpersonal, communication skills, and the ability to work in a diverse team environment is a must.
• Work with a variety of cross-functional teams and/or multiple projects and initiatives. Work extensively with internal partners around the world.
• Strong technical skills with the ability to translate complex transactional data into valuable analytical and insightful information.
• The candidate must also excel in project management, business analysis, & problem solving.
• Proficient using SQL on a data warehouse environment (preferably Teradata) Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of key financial calculations required.
• 5+ years of experience in supporting highly quantitative and analytical projects. Familiarity with Search Marketing, eCommerce, and Marketing preferred.
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Management Information System or equivalent.
