Associate, Data Analytics (Cambridge, MA)
Position Overview
As an associate of data analytics in Stax’s Cambridge, MA office, you will be an integral part of our analytics team, reporting to our director of analytics. You will be involved in the development of complex statistical models relating to our management consulting engagements. Typical assignments will include marketing mix optimization, marketing vehicle effectiveness, customer segmentation, and profitability and pricing analytics. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with data analytics experience looking to work in an entrepreneurial environment and seeking exposure to a diverse client base.
Qualifications - Ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2-4 years’ work experience in marketing analytics or statistical analysis.
- Strong conceptual understanding of the context and business requirements to which the work will be applied.
- Ability to perform data quality checks in a methodical manner to understand how to accurately utilize client data.
- Ability to develop detail-oriented, logical and documented plans for predictive model development to ensure accuracy and integrity of the results.
- Ability to apply the appropriate multivariate statistical procedures (e.g., linear and logistic regression, survival analysis, cluster analysis, factor analysis, or discriminant analysis) for clients.
- Experience in marketing modeling, predictive behavior modeling, or econometric analysis.
- Ability to communicate results and methodology with the project team and clients.
- Ability to meet deadlines and thrive in a fast paced, time-sensitive, consulting environment.
- Excellent programming skills using the SAS suite of tools in a work environment with extensive data.
