Analyst / Sr. Analyst (Jersey City, NJ)

• Learns, uses, and continues to perfect knowledge of statistical tools and programs
• Learns about the data fields relevant to various kinds of portfolios and about methods used by customers to store and retrieve data
• Learns customers’ business and how Fractal can help them achieve their business goals
• Builds a scoring algorithm; designs specifications applying various statistical procedures to the data
• Analyzes output and determines the next action; Produces reports and summaries for presentation to customers
• Depicts data graphically for inclusion in presentations and user guides
• Maintains records of project progress and customer contacts
• Coordinates project archival and documentation procedures

Education / Experience

• Graduation from college with major work in computer science, statistics, mathematics, operations research and/or business
• Knowledge of : Probability theory and applied statistics, including decision theory, analysis of variance, and multivariate analysis;
• Programming experience in at least one procedural computer language
• Work independently, with medium supervision, and adjust to fluctuating loads; Work effectively as a member of a team, coordinating scheduled tasks with work of others

• BE / BTech graduates or M Sc (Stats) / MA (Economics / Econometrics) from premier institutes like IITs /RECs, ISI, DSE etc.
